Air cargo concentrated at AIAAN
The AIAAN cargo terminal has operated since 19 December 2023, with customs certification from the tax authority (AGT) and operational certification from the civil aviation authority (ANAC). Dedicated cargo flights were the first to move to the new airport.

According to the final results of the 2024 census, the provinces of Luanda and Icolo e Bengo together have 10,188,967 inhabitants. In the 2014 census the same territory had 6,945,386.

Two road accesses to the airport
The airport is served by national road EN230 and by a second road, linking it to Zango, open to traffic since October 2025. At that date its second carriageway was still being completed.
